A Gift from God

I want my boys to grow up knowing that they are gifts from God. It’s not because they are exceptionally talented…or smart. (Although I do think they are above average… ;-)) It’s because God made them unique…different from everybody else in the world.

“I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well.” Psalm 139:14

I try to tell Drew and Carter frequently that I am so blessed to have them in my life…that they are treasures…and that they are gifts from God.

One day, it clicked with Drew. I told him he was a gift from God and his whole face lit up. He told Auntie…and when Daddy got home he told him. And each time his face lit up.

Drew knows how special a gift is. He knows how much fun it is to open something someone bought just for him.

And now he knows that he is a gift from God.

Aw, this warmed my heart. I often tell my daughter that Jesus Loves you but I’m going to start telling her she’s a gift from God too :)!
