Monogrammed Coasters

Now that Christmas is over, it’s safe to post about the gifts we made this year. 🙂 This week Melinda and I are excited to share all the fun we’ve been having crafting fun gifts to give to our families. 🙂

When I saw this tutorial to make monogrammed coasters, I couldn’t wait to give it a try.

I  had some leftover Mod Podge from decorating the boys’ fan, so all I had to do was buy some times at Home Depot and print out the letters. One of the hardest parts was trying to find a cute font that would look good on the coasters. Once the letters were cut out it was a simple matter to use the Mod Podge to glue the letters to each coaster and then put a sealing coat on the top. 🙂 They were so much fun to make…and super simple.

To finish off the back of the coasters, I bought some light blue felt and, using a hot glue gun, glued it on. (We definitely don’t want coasters that will scratch up a table!! :-))

And to round out the gift, I paired the coasters with a Taste of Home cookbook. (You can never go wrong with a Taste of Home cookbook… :-))
