Two weeks ago, our family had the opportunity to go on a really fun vacation…at my parent’s house! 🙂 My grandparents were out visiting from Texas, so Tim took the week off work and we made some great memories with our family. 🙂
Melinda and I have been working on this quilt for almost a year now. I had no idea how much work this would involve when I first asked her to help me!! 🙂 But the end is in sight!! It helped that we spent quite a bit of time quilting on our vacation. 🙂
We went out to lunch near the beach. Drew had fun running up and down next to the boats. He was really fascinated when one boat started chugging away. 🙂 Being the friendly little guy that he is, he waved goodbye to the captain. 🙂
And, of course, the boys enjoyed some quality bonding tim with the aunt, grandparents and great-grandparents. 🙂
One of our favorite things to do is visit this little hat shop. The do, of course, have mostly normal looking hats. But what fun are those? These hats are much more stylish, wouldn’t you agree?
Drew had fun learning a new skill…snapping green beans. While he didn’t quite get the whole bend it till it snaps deal, he did use his brute strength to just rip them in two. 🙂
And one of the highlights of our trip…visiting the presidential library in my hometown. It is so full of fun and interesting information.
We had a lot of fun on our vacation. And we’re looking forward to the next time our family can all be together again! 🙂
