Homemade Applesauce

Applesauce is a great way to use up apples that are starting to get a few soft spots and just aren’t quite in good enough shape to enjoy eating plain. 🙂

Begin by removing the stickers from your apples and washing them.

Cut the apples into chunks and place in a large pot. I cut each apples into fourths and then each fourth into three chunks. 🙂

Fill your pot with water and bring to a boil. Boil until apples are tender. (See all of the bubbly goodness? Your kitchen will begin to smell apple-y. :-))

Put some apples and water from cooking the apples in your blender with some spices. I filled the blender with apples. I added water until it reached the half way mark. If you want chunkier applesauce put in less water. You can add any spices that sound good! This time I added some cinnamon and ginger. Blend until it reaches the consistency you enjoy.

ENJOY! :-)
