We started out by seeing reptiles and insects. However most of these guys were not very active and were nicely camaflauged, so Drew didn’t really see a lot of those. And he wasn’t too impressed by any of the fish. So the flamingoes were the first animals he “saw”. He stood there and looked at the flamingoes while Dad pointed out the differences between the pink flamingoes and the black crow that was there for a visit. 🙂

Drew had the privilege of holding a bug for the first time. 🙂 I’m not into bugs at all, so we keep our distance from them. But when Aunt Melinda saw this little guy she decided Drew should experience the joys of holding bugs. He wasn’t too sure about the whole thing. 🙂
Normally, people go to the zoo to see and enjoy the animals. Drew really liked the penguins. Other than that, he was most fascinated with water…this fountain…waterfalls… He enjoyed playing in this fountain…and got his pants rather wet. 🙂 He spent a bit of time just staring at a waterfall. 🙂
