Drew recently learned two things…1) how to drink out of a sippy cup and 2) how to eat “real” food most of the time. Both of these new habits make my life so much easier!
When he was finally ready to stop eating baby food, I realized that I had no idea what to feed a toddler!! And I knew that I really wanted to find something that was quick and easy to make as well as something that (ideally!) Drew would be able to feed himself without making a big mess.
Enter the smoothie!
I’ve been making smoothies for Drew in the morning, although technically I don’t know if they could be classified as smoothies. I make them thin enough that his sippy cup doesn’t get all clogged up! But…it’s quick and easy to throw yogurt, fruit, juice, veggies (any combination of those ingredients!) into the blender, pour it into his sippy cup and give it to him. And I don’t have to spend a lot of time in the kitchen.
